National Bow Tie Day!

Today is National Bow Tie Day. Have you ever seen someone who was wearing a bow tie who was not…smiling! Wearing a bow tie is like wearing a second smile!

What ever you choose to wear today, make sure it comes with a smile!

  • Thank You!

  • The Purple Jacket Blog was started in 2011 after my partner Richard was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer.

  • I left this blog up in Richard's memory just like it was originally created in 2011 because it was a projec we did together while in the midst of dealing with cancer.

  • Richard LOVED to read the comments from everyone! We coined the nickname "TLO" for Richard while writing on The Purple Jacket. I continue to be amazed at the number of people who still find this blog and write to me at chris@thepurplejacket. Thank you for all your kind words and support throughout the years.

  • Life after caregiving has had its ups and downs for me, but there is life after caregiving for everyone. And life is good for me now.
